multiple LL126 Parking garage inspections & Restoration
As part of Sub-Cycle 1A, HAWA Engineering P.C. was commissioned by multiple properties throughout midtown and downtown Manhattan to fulfill all requirements for Local Law 126 and bring their parking structures to a SAFE condition.
This process began with a full walkthrough inspection of the parking garages, most of which were cast-in-place concrete structures. Following the inspection, all findings, photographs, and drawings were compiled and a report filing was submitted to the NYC DOB.
If any SREM (Safe with Repairs and/or Engineering Monitoring) or UNSAFE conditions were found within the parking structures, HAWA was requested by owners to assist in restoring garages to a SAFE condition. This was accomplished by first designing and developing drawing sets for all necessary public-protection measures/repairs and subsequently filing for Type II Alteration. Work permits were then obtained and the restoration process was managed until all conditions were repaired.
With Sub-Cycle 1B and Initial Observation Report deadlines approaching fast, HAWA can not only ensure your parking structures are properly inspected and recorded for the DOB but also lead the repair process from design to execution.
